@droningg.bsky.social I have, I've got Gnome and a few others but it drives me up the wall, because this is a System76 PC that's built for Pop!_OS, and the experience has been mostly garbage since Cosmic became a thing

I get the frustration! I'm weird and think Canonical is evil, so I have gone out of my way not to use any distros downstream of Ubuntu, and as a result I'm not really familiar with Pop!_OS but I've seen people talk about it. Wasn't their decision to make their own compositor controversial?
