still getting cosmic compositor crashes that kill the whole session and then restart, and apparently someone suggested a fix on the pop!_os repo, so they closed it and decided not to merge

Ok, I'm autistic and love Linux so I really hope this doesn't come across as condescending! Does your workflow actually depend on cosmic desktop? I've legitimately never had a compositor crash under Plasma on my workstation or Niri on my laptop. Even Labwc on my home lab seems fine.
