Here in PA a 3-4 bedroom house is maximum like 1700 to 2000 a month, with like 2 bathrooms and a yard
I can only conceptualize 3000 USD per month rent as like, a fugging mansion

Every time I see someone on here asking for help with rent (which I won't oppose or anything), they're like "My rent is 3000 dollars, I need help urgently" and I have to resist the urge to go "how did you have 3000 per month BEFORE this happened? WHERE DO YOU LIVE???"

When I lived in LA, any ads for apartments under 1000 were guaranteed to be scams. I'm talking about single room apartments, where the kitchen is part of your bedroom, for 1000 minimum. That was 12 years ago. It's probably worse now. Rent is out of control in some places.
