The Substance is a Resident Evil movie
No but for real, this whole movie is kind of like, a million different things at once. It's the obvious statement about beauty standards and Hollywood, but it's also body horror. It's surreal. And in points it's even liminal. There's numerous different versions of this woman living simultaneously in the past and the future, and there are rooms and hallways the live outside of all of that.
And if you watch it with headphones the whole thing is ATTACKING your ears the entire time.
