Notes
A compendium of each note posted directly to the site. Like social media posts, but written by hand, down to the HTML. I don’t know what the heck I should use this “notes” post type feature on my website for. I can make short form posts with it, but there’s got to be some kind of useful thing I can do with notes that isn’t just a social media post directly to my website

It’s been a while since I’ve updated the blogroll on my website, but today I wanted to make sure that I include all of the independently run blogs I read from over on Inoreader. Check it out, here. I don’t have time to write a full article with fleshed out explanations, but for those interested in making a switch to ActivityPub (the network that runs Mastodon, among other software), I’ve put together a short list of instances for those unsatisfied with Bluesky’s latest example of not being able to make proper decisions for their community. Testing a new feature on my site where I write a note that goes to my website when it updates on an hourly basis, and then posts new Notes specifically to my Bluesky account, therefore making my website that much more central. |
