Over the past almost month now, I’ve made one very succinct observation: If you are running a fediverse instance with open registration that requires no verification be it automated or moderated, you are actively harming the #fediverse

I don’t know when dav1d is going to realize that I have a script banning him every time one of his sock puppets @s me, or if he’ll ever get a hobby, or a job, but goddamn

trying to load up Mass Effect Andromeda on COSMIC and I completely forgot it had to install EA’s app

But then, I do have a tendency to blow things out of proportion entirely due to my own experiences, but

There’s always a but

and not a good butt

A couple weeks ago I thought I could trust someone, largely because she and a handful of others came to my defense when fedi MRAs were trying to abuse blocking systems to silence me

And then that same person turned on me a week later because I wanted to talk about some experiences I’ve had with AI, and why we shouldn’t use it as an excuse to call potentially everyone around you fascists

You cannot trust anyone.

My main problem with all of social media, is that if you feel like you have to hide things, or refrain from saying what you want to say, or talk about what you want to talk about, because people following you might become social terrorists

Then you should fire them into the metaphorical sun with the ban or block button, because that is no way to live.

And they can live without you.

I love that on fedi there are two sects of terrible types of people who love to quote things I’ve said out of context and without my name attached so that they can grumble or spit venom to the void

We’re around 3 weeks out from the start of that big ol harassment campaign while I’m still getting randoms throwing false reports at my instances, and I still find it wild that the owners of ‘fediblock’ don’t just put people on that list for attempts to abuse it

I don’t know, I can’t really decide if I like Wafrn enough to make it the main thing I use or not, especially because I can’t decide if the value of being that openly connected to Bluesky is also worth it
