Hello from the fields of Elden Nikki
Learned how to do combat better in #KingdomCome2 , and then died when more guys showed up to stop me from sleeping in their camp lol come on
Okay, now I'm done messing with my mastodon to markdown to my website scripts lol ... had to tell crontab where my SSH key is
One of the cool things about Avowed Xbox connectivity on Proton/Linux, is that it doesn't work 😂
Every gaming news posts on here right now is just spamming Monster Hunter Wilds
Bro it doesn't work at all on Linux, I don't care about it 😂
Mozilla continuing to dig their own grave for no particularly good reason
Or not, my website appears to have all 6000+ toots in its search metadata, so
Job complete
Oh heck nah, github isn't letting my scripts upload 6000 files lol
Since Jekyll pagination stops at 50 pages, and I've got 6000+ old toots backed up on my website, I've instead configured my search indexing to include all of it
I've got over 6000 toots in a folder on my site, BUT, Jekyll seems to stop paginating at like 50 pages haha
Never-the-less, I have an entire year of fediverse posting just, on my website
and I think it's like 6 megabytes total.
from nothing more than some google sheet columns!
I can't believe this, but I've successfully converted a year's worth of backed-up toots from my instance that no longer exists, into markdown files that are interoperable with my website
Just watched in real time as my PC fetched my toots, built my Jekyll site with new information, and then auto-committed to github, which then pushes to Neocities
I feel like I accomplished a lot, but I really only just used mostly already existing code 😂
Disney Dreamlight Valley would be neater if the PC and mobile versions were cross-compatible. But don't ask me, I'm not even much of a Disney fan lol
Blasting through a headache by staring at a terminal all day, this will certainly help 😂
Now obviously, you might be thinking, "Don't you need to have your PC on at all times for this?"
Nope
Cronjobs'll just pick up where they left off if I turn off my PC and then back on again 😎 👍
Setting up auto-commit on my machine to push changes to my site without me needing to do anything lol
Auto-posting from Mastodon to my website just became reality.
The only issue with backing up all my toots here to my website, is that I'll probably exceed Github's tiny unforgiving 1 gig pages size suggestion, but they can just eat me, I do what I want
Apologies to my bsky followers, I have a script that posts all my Mastodon posts here to Bluesky, and sometimes context might not make sense 😂
Further, I setup a python script that auto-syndicates everything back to their original locations on this instance, AND pushes images that are supposed to be included in posts that have them, _onto_ the toots themselves when they're posted on my website
