Funny I turn off a couple of my proxy servers that I don't really need to be using, and my VPS no longer crashes, or turns things off at random
Huh
would not be surprised if I eventually have to pull the plug on posting things from Reddit, here in maybe 6 months or less, considering their CEO loves to do what the billionaire CEOs do
I still have my bots running on Bluesky and they DO have followers
So I configured the image-poasting bot to pull from both Lemmy and Reddit
would absolutely not be surprised that misskey.io went nuclear and disallowed federation from Mastodon instances
probably getting tired of the reports on CSA content coming out of their instance
fuckin around, with python code, have a happy headache tonight, do da do da da do do

tragic for him, maybe
Zuck trying to make sure the next Social Network movie has a tragic ending
Yeah, I think I like Skymoth better. I can turn on an option that stops my posts from going over there, and I can actually see who's interacting with me by simply switching over to the Bluesky tab
On the other hand, it seems to be pretty hard to get people to bridge so that they can see you
So, there's a downside to both I guess
altho, I guess if you use Skymoth, and turn off Brid.gy Fed, you'll lose connections you have through brid.gy
Hmm.
alright, Skymoth works
if you're like me and you already had a Bluesky account, and wish your posts from here could just also be there (rather than on a brid.gy federated secondary account), so that you can communicate both ways
here's what you can use:
https://skymoth.app
time to wait i guess lol neither of the options i've used have transferred over yet
okay, now i'll turn off keyword posting to my bluesky account and see if a public post just ends up on there (via skymoth)
hmm, not sure if working, or, it's at least not an instant thing
testing to see if skymoth sends this post directly to my _actual_ existing bluesky account, rather than the artificially federated one, with keyword hashtag #busky
Now, in the navigation menu of my website, you can find my 3-point Fediverse tips section, detailing how to find an instance, what to look for before you join one, what you need to setup, what to do if you want to move, and how to treat the network over-all. nova.mkultra.monst…
Why are we still pretending that bluesky is the "only" platform that gives users control of their experience while Mastodon, a piece of software that isn't backed by a blockchain company, has existed since 2016, and ActivityPub since at least 2008
