I'm trying to loosen up my feelings about AI in-general, mostly to be more reasonable about things. But Microsoft baking it directly into the operating system is just a kind of "what the hell man"

Most people are fine with Windows and won't really pay much attention to the AI they're installing into your running tasks, but for me

I've been screwing around with Linux for years running virutal servers on digital ocean, and it only makes sense that I start using it as a main operating system and ditch the bloated Windows once and for all

it's fine! it was time for a new computing machine anyway, and pop_os looks amazing as hell

I ordered a brand new PC from systen76 with the beefiest hardware ever, installed with pop!_os, partially because Debian 12 has been crashing and not letting me use Firestorm concurrently for hours and hours

And then today I fixed the Debian crash issue 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

many already know I run a Second Life store, I make music, and I write fiction (extremely slowly, like really really slow), and now I've decided to add learning Rust to the roster of things I do

Got a work bonus, decided to give up on getting Firestorm to work on my 2018 PC under Debian and ordered this absolute beast machine

If it helps here’s some additional info:

I’m using the Firestorm flatpak, and I have virtually no freezing or crashing in anything but #secondlife

I thought maybe it’s the Flatpak, I’m not sure

But I also run a store and a sim and if Firestorm is just going to crash at random whenever I decide to multitask with email or Firefox, then I guess I need to stick to my MacBook?

I’ve narrowed it down to maybe being a Firestorm memory leak. I noticed as I teleport around ram usage increases and doesn’t decrease … EVER, until I exit Firestorm I really want to figure this out because it runs so well, and I want to use Linux lol (I love the Debian/Gnome c…
