AGI more like ay, guys, init?

so I mentioned before that I’ve been spending the past couple of months dabbling in AI in an attempt to game algorithms into paying me youtuber money (I’m a long way off) so that MAYBE i can leave walmart … at some point, and stop being tired all of the time, stop being in pain constantly

but anyway, one thing I notice about AI is that you have to sometimes FORCE and repeat yourself over and over until the things stop hallucinating or making up their own version of what you said, and honestly, it’s kind of annoying. but it sure is good at making things that are genuinely strange and unsettling

how the fuck did i get good at chess

the way the world is, gives new? extra meaning? to the phrase ‘it’s rational to be a cheater when the world is crooked’

that’s a little wild that mastodon.social won’t show its public timeline now, but it’ll show the trending timeline, which is just public posts from other people’s instances

so it’s okay to black-out your entire instance but who cares about everyone else? haha

For whatever reason, mastodon.social and mastodon.online have decided to make their timelines non-public, and no longer viewable by those who aren’t logged in. Because of this, I had to change my discoverfedi app, which now defaults to mstdn.jp, and indicates on the welcome screen that .social and .online have suddenly started hiding their timelines

Again, I’m not sure why they’ve done this, because if they’re doing it, then others likely are, as well, and this will greatly damage discoverability and exploration for people looking to join the fediverse, because these are exceedingly large instances that most people are funneled to!
