Since 2017, I had a short stint of wonder when I joined the fediverse, but in the resulting years enough bad things happened, be it manipulation, abuse, and so on and so forth that lead to trauma and mental health issues, I’ve been banned, booted, cursed, and have had bad-faith actors try to have me globally blocked multiple times with the farce of a hashtag “fediblock” (the most recent time, an incel wandering around different social sites calling myself and other trans women ‘tirfs’) and I’ve just had enough.

I don’t know if I’m going to outright delete my GTS instance (especially because I have numerous scripts pointed here that do things like, share my blog posts), but I also don’t know if I can trust that moving my account to another instance won’t yet again result in someone who shouldn’t be an admin or moderator erasing my account (by the years, kitty.town, cybre.space, deadinsi.de, hackers.town). But what I do know is that there are /too many people/ in what I’d call “leadership” positions on the Fediverse who should be nowhere near the ability to influence thousands of people (of course, there are a few good instances, whom I won’t name because they don’t need the shit that people throw at me on here).

When a mastodon.social moderator deletes your reply to someone spreading defamation about you, and you rightly point out what they are, this point becomes extremely clear.

Follow my Bluesky account, or don’t. I already don’t have social circles anymore, Laurelai Bailey and so many others made sure of that years ago.

anyway I need to set some goals for my weekend so that I don’t end up just staring at YouTube for a whole day and a half

trying not to mentally spiral before work so that I can put on my work face and personality and pretend for another 10 hours that the biggest takeaway after coming out as trans almost 15 years ago now, is that people will abuse the shit out of you and then blame you for it, over and over
