My Sims 4 Template

I've been playing and messing with The Sims since the year 2000, back on a hand-me-down 486, all the way to 2026, on my personal beast of a Linux machine.

The series has consumed enough of my life that this page was inevitable.

What Is In The Save

Within this file, you'll find many of my personal Sims made over the years, plus some of my own buildings and a handful from the gallery that I still enjoy using (at least, up to 2020).

I also wrote a "vamphouse" challenge back in 2019. The original Drive link is dead, but I found the full file and restored it here.

A New Expanded World Template

Two long-running Sims characters in their 2025 versions.

Back in 2014 or 2015, I started The Sims 4 with a single Sim (pictured on the right above), then evolved into a duo (both pictured above) that I've remade and updated in detail almost every single year since.

The current screenshot is their 2025 iteration, now incorporated into a brand new save file.

In this file, you'll find most of the Sims I've made over the years and still use today. The two pictured above are a bit hidden in the mix. Morgan Karga (left) lives as a vampire in a renovated trailer with her brother and mother, who are both also vampires.

The Sim on the right, Merrill Kavanagh, can be found as a child, living with her family in a large home.

It's up to you if these two ever meet.

Template Lore and Easter Eggs

Some default Sims in this world were replaced with "post purge" versions I made after an EA update caused a bug that rapidly aged almost every Sim in a save file.

The result was weird, but interesting: I kept many of them, updated their looks, and gave them new stories.

This template is based on the earlier template linked above, so it still includes the pre-update Goth family in original form.

There are also Sims community easter eggs. Jim Pickens lives in Brindleton Bay with his husband Grim, plus his restaurant, Slim Pickens.

Urp John (the forearm god) is still alive in his own place in San Myshuno, just a little older now.

In early episodes of CallMeKevin's Pickens series, Urp had twins with Jasminder Bheeda who died in Jim Pickens' first torture-home. In this universe, Teagan Bheeda lives and married into her own family in Copperdale (and dyed her hair red).

If you've seen Buzzfeed Multiplayer and Kelsey's 100 baby challenge, you might recognize one of the families in this template.

Then there's a household I now know only as "Deddenside." I watched a creator on Twitch build it around the tiny home pack era, including a clown-vampire. It's been so long that I don't remember who they were, and the original account no longer shares this Sim.

So now this is basically a Sims 4 relic only available in this template.

There's even more in there: Sims from old friends, homes from when I streamed on Twitch more often, and default families that are fully different.

Check it out.
