some thoughts I’ve been toying around with, and flip-flopping on in my head, is, I’m trying to figure out what both the fediverse and bluesky have to offer for me in 2026

so far, it’s harassment, dogpiling, abuse, silent judgment and disdain, and I keep asking myself over and over: why am i paying for servers on two networks filled with miserable people who spark no joy at all

I’m confused about the reasoning behind the way Steam schedules updates. Like, why would it schedule Vampire Survivors to update 2 weeks from now

The problem with a lot of the anti-AI rhetoric circulating, is that many people are operating on information from 2022, or just straight-up misinformation. This is one of the reasons why I originally decided to investigate actual LLM systems. Because taking all your information from other ppl who are also misinformed creates a misinformation vortex

(LLMs can absolutely search the web for you)

When you have a boss that becomes perturbed when you achieve the same goal their plan would have accomplished, but with your own plan

So, there’s this guy at work, and I’m not sure how to respond to this stuff, but he’s kind of being neurotic/hyper-vigilant about what he perceives to be stalking and harassment, and in his reports: first thing he mentions, “I don’t know if this is because of my ASD, but …” and then lists a slew of instances of his coworkers making small talk and telling him jokes, and him taking it to mean they’re out to get him
