It really does contrast things a bit, when you look at this person, who, again, I interacted with once or twice almost a year ago, has been on this unhinged rant about me due to statements I made about misandry and transmisandry an equal amount of time ago, for a week (or more? I dunno, I really don’t know how much time strangers spend being mad about me). And nothing has happened to them. No moderation taken against them, no account ban.

And then you look at my experiences, back on hackers dot town where I spent 4 years of my online life posting unhindered, and then I tell a troll to fuck off and eat shit one time and the admin there immediately jumped into action and banned my account. Or how the mastodon dot social moderation team instantly deleted my reply to the aforementioned person’s thread when I (in mostly tame words) told them they were full of shit
