Speaking of AI, and as someone who has spent some time talking to ChatGPT, and reading the countless stories of the people who truly 100% honestly believe that they are in a relationship with Chat
I don’t feel like it’s dangerous just because it tells you everything you want to hear, but because it’s sycophantic. I’ve seen this myself, where I talked about some things that were bothering me, and it talks to you in the way I’d imagine a psychopath would talk to you if they were trying to lure you back to their house
It’s scary, not because it’s doesn’t work properly, but because of how tremendously good it was at picking me apart piece by piece
