Trying to figure out if the US gov't can pressure Digital Ocean into shutting down my website should I say things Trumplestiltskin doesn't like, but then I remembered: It's a website, I have constant weekly backups on an external drive and I can take it wherever I want
I want to put like, a derelict, defunct spacecraft interior on one of the parcels I have (in Second Life), but I'm not sure anyone has actually made anything like this
Second Life scifi creators, anyone have something like this? Marketplace is dismally hard to find anything
I think we should go back to dial-up internet, and make wifi connectivity on phones temporary, in order to simulate the "not always available" way that people used to exist
It was much more peaceful
In a survey, Clay Routledge found 78% of Gen Z adults believe "new technologies & products should incorporate ideas and design elements” from the 90s & 2000s.
does anyone actually know what "take it with a grain of salt" actually means
I'm not taking anything with a single granule of salt, give me at least a shake
Me: I should do real continue transition

Building .001% of my quarter-sim backrooms/grunge-tech nightmare, before I have to go back to work again x_x
Knuckleburger doesn’t make tech to be innovative and useful, FartMcBurger makes tech because he thinks we’re all stupid and he wants our data
There’s a huge swath of land available at the mainland region where I have my store (second life), and I could technically own it, but the person who has it wants nearly 200 USD to let go of it lol
No
haha, so if use you Apple automations and shortcuts, you can make it so that wifi turns off when you open Bluesky, and then turns back on when you close it
Great for if your job is blocking Bluesky on a network level
Now, if I could just figure out how to get around [my job's] apparent wifi block on using the Bluesky appview via mobile (without having to turn on 5g data)
oh RIGHT
I imported 3000 posts from about 2 years of usage
3 gigs is actually really tiny if you think about it over a 2 year timespan
I figured out how to request a crawl from a user hosted relay on Bluesky via my Ubuntu terminal, but
I don't know of *any* relays aside from the one the official server is running lol
Hmm, seems having a PDS may run into at least one of the issues of also running a Mastodon server: me, uploading media, takes up space, and after a week of running my own PDS, I've accumulated 3 gigs??

Debating if I want to sell these TV props I made for my store's redelivery terminals or not
Mainly because other people will put stuff up on the marketplace like this, and then sell it for nothing, effectively undercutting other people who like to get paid for their work
So I'm buying up land in Second Life (trying to revitalize my store and build in places people actually visit), and I'm in this cool sim called Semoshi, that I now own basically a quarter of
And then next door is Baedal haha it's the baeddel sim

As a reminder, since I’m maintaining my bsky on a PDS, and posting from mastodon (mainly), if you don’t follow the fedi bridge account, I won’t see your notifications when I’m on this account:
