Oh yeah the best solution for extreme healthcare costs and the struggle to find any community whatsoever is to feed your identity and issues into a twitter algorithm that talks back, great
every time there's something I want to reply to on here, or agree with, they've got replies turned off lol
at this point just write a journal, or a blog with no comment section
Nobody wants this shit

These things aren't even AI, they're just Twitter algorithms with a voice. The feed showing you things it thinks you want to see is the chatbot telling you things it thinks you want to hear.
That's it!
AI is solving problems that don't exist, evaporating water to tell people things they want to hear, to generate sludge of bastardized work by people who didn't give consent, all so billionaires can make money and disregard people.
And it doesn't fucking work.
Yeah I eat 365 hotdogs a year, I eat 1 a day, am I eating one right now? N.. no why do you ask
I don’t think I want to know anyone who is or thinks they can have a relationship with chatgpt
Go to another universe, stay there, don’t speak or be seen
This podcaster just pronounced “hijinks” as “high drinks”
They let anyone speak on these things lol
Like this probably wouldn't be such a problem if people's brains hadn't been melted by algorithms that reward them with mass attention for bad opinions, but what do I know
"trans women are bad if they date men!"
I like turtles
watching the ongoing ridiculous (trans community) discourse happening on the timeline on bluesky makes me somewhat glad I have no community to speak of aside from maybe 2 friends
we're (as in yall'st) just reinventing the worst of tumblr, circa 2015
I had to take a screeny of this avatar/user I encountered on opensim before they had a chance to fully load lol
AHHHHHH
I have a mouth and I must scream
But also, in order to not be fully negative here: It's open source, open protocol. There are no set rules.
So, I can build a space where stealing from creators and generative slop gets you kicked out 🤷♀️ That's at least something
to steal*
But then you meet people, and more than half of the people you meet seem to be the ones who thought to themselves, "If it's okay to still from the mega rich, then it's okay for me to steal from people who can't afford to eat"
And that makes me cringe
Like, the concept of OpenSim is awesome: Open protocol, open source. Thousands of grids connected to each other that you can travel between seamlessly. The cost for entry is zero, or near zero, and you can just get land, build, and meet people.
It just doesn't sit well with me.
And then this person I rented land from enthusiastically tells me, "Yes, OpenSim is great! Most of the stuff I have was lifted directly from Second Life!"
Oh, uh ... are you proud of that?
Like, the reason creators ask to be paid for these things, is because it's work. It's hard. It's a lot harder than ripping some mesh out of Second Life and slapping some scripts on it for OpenSim.
It takes months of work
Like, I was looking for a mesh body, and ... I found Maitreya X, with someone else's logo plastered over the "Maitreya" logo
That's just downright disgusting, honestly
